Illustrations for a geological nature trail

What was the illustrator’s brief?

A geological nature trail was to be equipped with appealing and easy-to-understand illustrations at the respective stations. Each geological phenomenon was to be depicted in a way that was easy to understand and recognizable.

The benefit for the client

An educational trail consisting purely of text is usually not well perceived by walkers. With the combination of good texts and appealing illustrations, the path through this nature trail becomes an experience that is a lot of fun.

The client’s reaction

Both the lecturers at the university faculty that commissioned the project and the community representatives were very enthusiastic. Matthias Emde’s geoscientific expertise was a great advantage here.
